Why does an HD stream sometimes look blurry?

Usually bandwidth. Most players adjust quality automatically to keep the stream smooth, so a slow or congested connection gets served a softer feed even in an HD room. Close other downloads, switch networks, or lower then raise the quality setting manually and the sharpness typically comes back.
